Noob's guide to EF (Noob = Newbie = New Person)
Definition of terms:
1. orb. - orb is a mis spelling or bro. You may also see the variation "rob" or "bor." Do not be alarmed, these mis spellings are typically intentional as a way to spice things up. Everyone sitting around typing "bro" this and "bro" that gets old quick. Some people prefer broly, but its a bit played out.
2. pwned - again, a mis spelling. The originating term here is owned. Basically owned means to get dissed by someone, or completely shut down and humiliated. It got changed to pwned because sometimes when someone is really worked up and excited they will commit the common typo of substituting the p for the o.
3. taint - a must know term for our new ladies. Your "taint" is the patch of skin between your pussy and your anus. Some women have just a hint of taint, as small as a piece of thread, others have a large inch patch or bigger. Unkept taint is typically brown and nasty smelling. Taint measurements are required from noob members of the female sex.
4. avatard - also known as avalardo, avatid, aravartad, avarter, aviator, avatardo, and many more.. all mis spellings of the word avatar. Your avatar is the little picture that is under your name. You need to get some posts (I think 250) to get one, or you can just suck George Spellman's cock and go platinum to get one.
5. George Spellman - a mis spelling of George Spellwin, he owns the place. he's not really a real person, but someone who works for the site logs in and him. He will constantly PM and email you trying to sell you shit. He'll really like you if you go platinum.
6. Big Rick Rock - Also known as BRR. He George Spellman's #1 bitch. He's a good guy to know, he'll help you out if you need it (if you are platinum of course) and he's a typical new York hot head. Don't get on his bad side.
7. Karma - this is a controversial one. Go to your profile page to see who has given you karma recently. Its designed to be able to reward someone for quality posts, but long ago the system was raped by "karma whores" who do nothing but give karma out for no other reason then to receive it.
8 Karma whore - someone who posts things like "in" or "hit me" or "give me green" and exchanges karma with other whores. Typically their posts are near meaningless.
9. Post whore - similar to a karma whore, but you do not need to collaborate or cooperate with anyone to be a post whore, you simply post nonsense just for the sake of raising your post count. Many people are both karma whores and post whores.
10. "this thread is useless without pics" - you will see this one a lot if you ever start a thread talking about something that is only interesting if you get to see it.. for example "My breasts look so hot today" that type of thread is useless without pics.
11. band - another not so creative mis spelling of BANNED. You will see this on threads where someone is enaging in karma whoring, post whoring, or talking down to George Spellman.
12. Moderators - they can make stickies and lock threads. Don't be fooled into thinking they can do anything else. Many will try to get nude pictures of you in exchange for being their friend. This is a blatant abuse of power and you should avoid it at all costs. (Except for Velvett, all new male members are encouraged to send her photos to the email addy in her profile - no naked penis pic please - for review.)
13. "stickies" - threads that are permanently at the top of the page for everyone to see. They are usually worthless, and stay up there way to long.
14. "locked" - a thread that is locked can no longer receive replies or be "bumped" this happens 99% of the time because the thread somehow pisses off a mod. Locked threads are usually some of the best ones unfortunately.
15. "bumped" - but posting a new post on a thread it "bumps" it up to the top of the first page of the forum. Very usefull when you want to get more replies, or find a really old thread you'd like people to see again. Excessive bumping can lead to threads being "locked" or users be "band."
16. Bombs - a new feature at EF. If a platinum member (someone who actually pays for the site) gives a non platinum member (the cheap bitches) red (negative) karma, a little bomb will show up under their name with the user that gave it to them and a special message. If you get 4 of these in 24 hours, your posts will be BLACK for a day and you will be PWNED.
17. The Bomb Squad - we don't talk about this exclusive and illustrious group anymore
18. NKC = New Karmic Church - another group we don't mention in public
19. Alter - this is the term for an alternate username. They are usally a second internet persona that someone creates once everyone has figured out that they are really are a tool and their first one is useless. There have been a couple creative and funny ones in the past, but typically most alters are dudes that pretend to be a chick so they can see how all the other dudes are picking up on women. Guys will go to great lengths including sending out nearly nude pictures of this ficticious persona.
20. Plats - A nickname or abbreviation for Platinum Members. These are people that actually pay real money to use the site. They do get rewarded for it by getting some additional features. Most noteworthy are the additional PM so your PM box doesn't constantly fill up. This is worthless to you if you are a newbie though because you are likely not getting any PMs. One of the best benefits that you can start using right away though is the galleries. These will be discussed in more detail below, but lets just say there are some visual treats to be seen. Oh also if you at plat you can drop bombs, use the "stealth" web site, use platinum chat, use the REAL search function, and you get some reports and coupon to use. What a deal! Go Platinum today!
21. Troll - someone who doesn't really care for the community and posts solely to stir up shit and knock other people's posts. Troll are frequently formerly banned members or members of other bodybuilding communities that are trying to get gossip to relay to their home boards.
22. Lurker - someone who reads many forums and posts but never makes any posts of their own. Many newbies try to establish street credibility by saying they have been "lurking for months" but just never posted. This is usually a lie and doesn't work anyway.
23. Tool - A person is a "tool" if they are a chump, dork, worthless, foolish, idiot. Tool is also the name of the greatest rock band of all time.
24. Mang - also, Maing. Its a ghetto way of saying "man" another intentional mis spelling like orb, just used to spice things up, give your posts some character and personality.
25. Elite Moderators - these are extra special moderators that are part of George Spellwin's inner circle. Their powers are greater then that of plain vanilla moderators, but no one knows the real extent of the powers. Some people say they can ban people on command, or delete threads, or give free platinum access. No one knows anything for sure except they have all serviced George Spellwin nicely to get to where they are.
26. Gallery - a newer feature for platinum members. Basically the gallery is something that platinum members have as a place to store images. The best part about this feature is that many of the lovely women on EF store their nearly nude or sometimes nude pictures there. Other members will use the gallery to store their best porn. It is one of the best features that platinum members get and you gotta pay to play for this one.
27. EliteFitness.com Secure Email - A "free" email account that stores your mail offshore and encrypted so you can talk about all kinds of questionable activities without fear of getting arrested. Just make sure you log in once every three weeks or they deactivate your account and make you pay to get it back.
28. Thread - a collection of posts all under one subject or "thread title."
29. Post - one message on a thread.
30. PM - private message. A way for you to send a personal (not public) message to one or more users. Frequently used by guys to hit on women with. Not secure like the elite fitness secure email, but quick and effective for those pick up lines you've been working on.

34. knowledgeable vet - trusted vet - A "Veteran" of the site, someone who knows the ropes. A person to go to if you have a question about a "source" or any other post. These people add the real value to EF.
35. source - The term to describe a person who sells performance enhancing drugs such as steroids. Illegal in the US but legal in some countries
36. source post - a post that contains an email address or web site address to purchase illegal drugs such as steroids. These posts are illegal and will get you band at elite. A common mistake for noobs is to sign up and immediately start asking "where can I get some var?" You can make this mistake once, but if you make it twice expect to be band.
37. price check - any post asking what the current price for illegal substances is. These posts are band because scammers typically reply to the original post and attemt to rip to them off.
38. scammer - someone who claims to be a source and will collect money from you and never send you product (or in rare cases will send you bad product). scammers are not common on EF, but not unheard of. Contact a moderator before ever purchasing anything from someone you have met through EF.
39. source check - the act of contacting a moderator to find out if a source is legit or if they are a scammer
40. Var, Winny, Test, EQ, Dbol, Ldex, Adex, Anti-E, etc - all abbreviations for different AAS (Anabolic and Androgenic Steroids) or anicllaries. Check out the Steroid Discussion board for more info. Colelctively this stuff is called "gear."
41. Cycle - AAS usage is typically not done continuously, it is done is cycles. So a cycle is a set period of time and a set amount of gear.
General warnings. If you are a noob female, the easiest way to gain acceptance is by posting numerous pictures of yourself revealing as much as possible. You will get dozens of guys complimenting you, saying some of the nicest things to you that you will probably ever hear. This works even if you are a fat slob who has a hard time getting a date in the real world. You will get PMs and emails from people asking for more.. You will get pictures of men's penises, you will get promises of riches beyond your wildest dreams. Enjoy the ego boost, there isn't much like it. Also, if you post enough semi nude to nude pictures, you can be made a moderator in no time.
For noob guys.... sorry, no easy way into the elite of EF.. basically your best bet is to find an established male poster and kiss his ass incessantly until he starts making threads saying you are a cool orb, or a funny guy.. then you are on your way to mass acceptance.
