just a little help. i'm totally new to this world. i've been lifting for 8 years and am thinking about taking the next step. i'm 5'10" about 240 lbs. and haven't made any serious gains in a year. i have reached my natural limit and was wondering what would be a good starter cycle to pack on some more size?

i haven't gotten out the caliper in years. i have a little extra fat that i'm holding around my abdomin and face, but nothing rediculous. if i would guess i would be around 15%-20%. just to clarify i'm a bigger guy at the gym and one of the strongest. i'm not a fat ass.

Your first step is to spend time and do a lot of research, elitefitness has 100,000+ members and 5,000,000+ posts, search around and read, you'll find a lot of educational information.

read this over too

I agree 100%. My first few months on this site was nothing but reading posts - I didn't even sign up for a free account until I felt comfortable.

Patience pays off in the long run!

use an online body fat estimator to gauge where you're at. i thought i was at 20% when i was actually at 13-15%

i'm 26. thanks for all the suggestions. i'm on so many regular supplements shoot i'm probably popping 8 a day along with drinking my protein shakes and creatine. i'll look around the posts!!

an online body fat estimator just told me I'm at 28.5% body fat  I guess I'm not standard demographic at 6'4 240.

i guess you really need the skinfold measurement.
