We should keep the rights that don't cost taxpayers anything (i.e. next-of-kin, inheritance, medical decisions...).
But we should strip rights that cost taxpayers money for all marriages -- straight or gay.
I'm all for gay marriage as long as no one else has to pay for it. But I think it sucks that people have to pay for straight marriages now.
I still can't figure out why we'd subsidize marriages, mortgages, corn, having children, etc. etc.
