If you had to pick a new car that is dependable, has a V6 (no 4 cylinders please), & is between $20-25K, what car would you look into? I'm looking into this so all serious replies puhleeze! :qt:

I dont know, im thinking of buying a new car but not 20 to 25k

but all i know is, im gonna take my dad with me, he knows how to fenangle them into not screwing me over
I think Dodge Intrepids are nice cars

my sister in law did that, her sister bought a new van, so she had to go in debt and make my brother work more so she could get a bigger and better one........

Watch out for Dodge though... WORST customer service etc. My sis' had a brand new Dodge Stratus for a year & traded it in for a different car. She HATED it... always had problems with it & Dodge didn't do anything to help make any of them better.

I like the older Malibu's - apparently the new Malibu tested the worse out of 5 other cars in the same "range" in 5mph crash tests!! The results looked like it was hit at 35-40mph!! DOH!!

holy chit
maybe ill stick with my 93 lumina lol

i owned a 98 dodge intrepid, ran the wheels off the thing never had any problems. you can get a good or bad car in any make, just make sure to do regular maintance on it. im a chevy man myself i own a tahoe right now, it was in the shop a few weeks ago to repair the security system, they let me drive a chevy malibu seemed like a very good car for the price range. only problem i had with it seem like my butt was dragin the ground, i used to driving trucks or suvs.

I have never liked the dashboards of American cars for some reason.

LOL... Hmm... Never really paid much attention. But the Galant GTZ looks nice - the other models are blah. The interior, sound system are great... hmmm..... Thing is, I had a 2000 Galant before; it "died" in a car accident last year. (R.I.P.). :worried:

are the low end infinitis in that price range? don't know. My sis had one from a few years back, new ,and under 30k. Great car. Might be pricier now.

Don't be practical, and get one of those convertibles. I think the thunderbird convertible is in your price range. I had a Miata for a while I bought years back for 20k Great car, and lots of fun

For a nice little sporty car I think the Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 is a pretty good deal at about 20K but then again you could get an Acura RSX for a few thousand more. One of these most likely will be my next car after I get done with my Mazda MX-6 which I love to death.

I do think the Acura RSX is cute; I'd really like the new TL though...it's GORGEOUS! But of course $30K+ - OUCH! :worried:

 See if I offer advice again lil miss thing

I have a '99 626 now and an '89 MX-6 before that, although I leased a '98 C230 in between.

Just thought about something...the Honda Clearance Event is coming up soon too! Hmm.... The Galant GTZ or the Honda Accord Coupe?... Decisions, decisions...

yeah but not too much - $26 & change... plus I'll have $3K to put down... maybe more by then. Hmm....

Right, I didn't price check but I figured a v6 accord would be somewhere between 25K-30K. All I know is I will never hopefully deal with a car note again. If I can't buy the car outrage I guess I won't be driving it.

Does it have to be new? Look at something 1-2 years old with low mileage. It's still under factory warranty and you can buy extended (and a bumpin stereo) with the savings.

Actually I'm really shootin' for a new car unless something WONDERFUL pops up...but the thing is I have a used Jeep Grand Cherokee...I love it but I've had a few probs w/ it & my uncle said he'd like to buy it from me & take over the payments b/c his has 200K miles on it & mine has 37K.

That the way I will do it from now on unless I just become really rich. You just save so much money that way and the only problem is it just takes a little longer to get exactly what you are looking for and more custom things you need to get done once you buy it.

Yep, that's what I did when I bought my Jeep Grand Cherokee after my Galant died... but it's the SAME thing to me. 'Cause I'm paying a note for 3-5 years for a used car & it's about the same as a new car! Go figure!

if you don't want a Maxima or the v6 Altima, go for the Accord. i'll start considering American cars when we figure out how to make an interior that doesn't suck. for now i'm buying japanese. can't go wrong with the accord.

I paid cash for my used car so there was no note; neener neener!
