I don't think those things are illegal. For one of them you need a prescription, the other one is selling prohormones, no illegal stuff ... I hope.

My exact reaction! Holy shit! I'm assuming they're fakes, like dball or some shit like that, but they just use the real names and pictures.

I don't know...but I doubt they'd do something like this.:confused:

A lot of the sites that will come up in a google search are scammer sites. What query do you use?

Not trying to be a dick, but the reviewers at google didn't buy steroids online.

It would be horrible if people got scammed. :( Maybe a disclaimer would be good at the buttom of the ads.

Thanks! I appreciate it. We are still working with google here to get this perfected. The results should eventually get VERY specific. For example, if we are talking about exercises for the quads on the boards, google should show us relevant resources for quad exercises -- not just steroid ads.

I certainly hope that George and Sam are not condoning the use of these websites....:rolleyes: .....and I certainly hope that we don't now get 1000 posts from newbies who sent $1000 to on of these companies....:rolleyes: ......please tell me this is a joke......if not I'll take 500 d-bol for $200....not the best price..but if they can get it here overnight.....:rolleyes: ...sign me up........geez...

These sites are associated with google and as such, google thinks you would want to know about them. I am not familiar with them, why would we not want google to put them here?

And what do you guys think of the quick reply box?

Why? I can tell offhand that atleast one of those sites is a legit steroid selling site, that's why.

But, as far as I knew we had a strict no source post policy here at Elite.
And now we got ads with online pharmacys that sell steroids. :confused: This defeats the whole purpose.

I'm assuming that if this would put people at risk, and the site at risk, george would not do it. It is his site that would go down if anything were to happen.

I really hope this doest work to anyones advantage (feds) an EF/Google partnership and the Feds would only have to subpeona Google for traffic reports on WHICH IP's clicked WHAT links, EF would be out inthe cold in this. NO more protection, Im sure google wont go to the extent that George goes to to protect its members.

We still have a strict no source policy!

But if these are legit pharmacies and google is putting them here then I am not sure this is a bad thing.

Remember too that they are going to put all kinds of relevant resources in our threads. For example, in a thread about BFold, they should begin to put up Strong Man resources. On a thread about Vegas, they should put Resources about Vegas. On a thread about Atkins, they should put Atkins diet resources, etc. I do not think anyone else has this feature on their boards.

Let's give it a good try before we decide we do not like it.

It's your call, but we are now listing legit sites here (atleast one offhand), but you have Rick Collins, I don't. So you could always consult him on this...but make sure you don't lose this site, I need my fix...:p

But I think its gonna cause more bad than good.
Google has alot of online pharmacys, some might be legit, some scamming sites and other selective scammers.
Some newbie will see the Ad posted and think its a site supported by EF. Then go and send them money.
Then come back here crying about his experience.
Who knows?
I hope everything works out though.

We are learning all about this today just like you guys. Let's give it a chance, we are just now learning what google plans to put here and this is all in beta. Let's give it a chance it could become a cool new resource.
 
I just dont want to see a great site go down the tubes, alot of knowledge is invested in this, alot of time, and alot of good bros, i dont want this to be the downfall of EF< but you guys have Rick C.

I would like to hear his POV on this, i know he is a busy guy, maybe he could check in.

it is a link that takes you to a website that sells aas. how is it any different? now i know you guys can do whatever you want, but it just seems like this is a bad idea. most guys would be banned if they popped up and put **drugs.com in a post. maybe you should tell google to take certain things out.

So if I buy $1000 worth or things from one of these "resources" will I have any recourse with Elite?

I think most people got the buttom line. Elite won't get in trouble since the topics are whatever the thread is being discussed about (although it doesn't seem to properly work, they always show steroid related links no matter what), and google won't get in trouble since they are just a search engine and anyone can subscribe there.

The only people that will get in trouble are the people running the site and the people ordering from them. Just avoid them, some of those are known scammers. The ones that aren't scammers will have a very large chance of being busted, so avoid them too. Get your sources the old fashioned way, ask a mod.

Unfortunatly some of us are looking for any possible way of aquiring a new source without just coming out and asking for one from a mod.

Very bad way to try to earn a few cents, IMO....

Johnny Cut also makes a good point about the feds being able to track your IPs through google now instead of coming to EF, you don't even have to click on the links, since they're served as images which gives their server your IP address as part of the request....

time to go update my ad blocker.......
