I hit a knew pr in deadlift yesterday. My previous attempts in the past of 495 have fell short. Over the past 3 months i havent been concentrating on my numbers in the deadlift, as im a bb'er, just busting out the reps, not going over 405. Yesterday i felt like maxing out. I put on 500lbs and did a double. I was going to quite there as that was my 4th set of the exercise, and felt really good about it, but my workout partner talked me into going for 545lbs. To my surprise i pulled it. The past 3 months i have been concentrating on bringing out my hams, so ive been doing SLDL, every third w/o i'll do regular deads. My plan is over the next 6 weeks im going to work on being explosive at the beginning of the movement and really concentrate on perfecting my form, but not going for heavy weight. At the 4-6 week mark, im going to try 585. BTW im 5'11, 205lbs.
