Hey guys,
i am new to the board and just wanted to say hi to everyone. i am 24 and a recent college grad. i have been into bb for like 4-5 years but have been trainig since 14. anyway i need some advice. i just found out that i have a torn rotator cuff, torn rear delt, and tendonitus in my bicep. i dont have insurance yet, since i just graduated---so surgery is gonna have to wait. here is the deal though. i was trying to get back into the sport after like a 10 month crash (i got soooooooo burned out) and stopped training, dieting, cardio, and basically everything. i never thought i would allow myself to do that but i was soooo sick of bb that i needed to, for my mental health. but now that i am mentally pumped to get back into the gym , i get this shitty injury. it is the worst thing i think i can go through. i already feel like a pussy. i mean i know everyone has an "i used to be " story, but at my peak (23 yrs old) i was pretty jacked for my age. i was 225-230 at about 7-8% and 6 foot. after the break i took (i call it an all out crash) i am sittin at 205-208 and probally 10-11%. i need to get back in it but how do i do this with the injury.
i can only use machines to train chest, and cant do any shoulders. i was thinking of running moderate doses of eq (400-600 mg/week for 10 -12 weeks) and just using very strict form on all upper body movements and kill my legs. but then i started thinking of some gh or igf-1, but to be honest i have no idea how to use that stuff or even have a good source for it. like i said i wont have insurance for like 5 months, and if i werent already behind i dont think i would consider any gear, but i am a meat head and dont think i can stand any more atrophy. i need to do something, any advice would help. thanks boyz----------- john

deca will make your joints feel better.. but get your injuries fixed before you train.. no point in fucking yourself up for the rest of your life.

You need to rest, stretch and do cardio until your injuries heal. Then take it slow coming back, dont rush it.

dont use the gear till the injury is resolved
sorry to hear about your shoulder but thats my advice
so do you guys think i could avaoid surgery, and have it heal on its own. i have read up on eq increasing synovl (sp?) fluid-- which in turn accelerates tendon/cartilage growth. but i am seriously going crazy watching the pounds come off and not being able to train--- i get even more pissed when i see dudes that are jacked---- aaahhhhhhh the nostalgia is killin me!

Ask a licenced doctor. Pay for the visit/consultation. Don't be cheap when it comes to your long-term health.

according to anthony roberts and some studies he showed me in another thread that is incorrect
the severity of your tear will determine if you must have surgery to repair it
glucosimine and chondroitin complex sold at every drugstore might give you some relief if the injury is minor
but if severe you need to bite the bullet

yeah, i pretty much agree with all of you guys. it sucks though. by the way who is anthony roberts? thanks everyone

I wouldn't risk it.... If you can't take a Year of not being in shape. What will your mental health be like after you Fuck your shoulder up for life. Then you wont be able to train right ever again and that finality of it my push you over the edge.
