new guy looking for help seting up a workout routine

im new to the site so i wanna start off by saying hi to everyone. i been lifting alittle with no set routine,i also been doing alot of cardio to get the weight down some.im 5'9 209lbs naturally big. im in the process of getting a set diet started and i will be getting protein and creatine.i got some ideas of how to set up a routine but any help will be appreciated im looking to hit the gym 5 days a week,thanks guys!
 
search some previous threads and try and throw something together yourself and post it and someone will tweak it for ya.........
 
i started the 3x5 workout a few weeks ago and love it.. me and the guy i lift with are still a little low on some of the lifts and slowly getting to where we need to but i love it so far.. just the fact of monitoring each lift with a journal each time has helped a ton
 
im thinking of seting a routine something like this up...if any1 thinks a differnt approach is better let me no.each body part 3-4 different exercise 4 sets of 8 or 10 depending per exercise.

monday-chest & legs

tues-arms & abs

wensday-back

thursday-im thinking a day of all cardio

fri-shoulders

ive completely changed my diet im eating cereal with bannana in morning or oatmeal. lunch tunafish on whole wheat or brown rice with grilled chicken lots of veggies and fruit, dinner- small steaks with veggies or grilled chicken.i been doin alot of cardio to drop weight so far in 3 weeks i went from 216 to 208 im still gunna keep up the cardio for alittle bit before workout but i need a set routine to hit the weights the right way let me no what u guys think...thanks
