Well, I just hired this guy. I was hesitant at first because he sounded kind of strange over the phone, kind of slow. Anyways, I decided to meet up with him anyways. The type of work I do is stonework(particularly interior stone and design), and we are looking into doing some pretty creative things in the future. Well I meet with the guy, have no idea what I getting. Anyways, I find out that the reason he sounds slow is because he has a disability, he's mostly deaf. You have to either look at him or talk very loudly over the phone so he can hear you, and it takes him a few seconds to reply. Well, he starts talking about all of the work he has done in the past, he's a skilled carpenter. I'm thinking Ok the guy can work with his hands. Then he pulls out his camera and wants to show me exactly what it is he really does. Well I'll be damned, I dont know what this guy is doing calling me, he needs to be on TV hosting his own design show. This guy is amazing, he's a sculptor, painter, carpenter, this guy is a craftsman hands down. His work is amazing, paintings that look 10x better than what people pay thousands for. This guy is my ticket right here, I'm going to get him into stone etching and doing some pretty creative shit that will make this company explode. So, he meets up with me earlier today and I take him out for a few hours and get his paperwork done and show him a few projects to see if it's something he might like to do. The guy was telling me nobody will give him a chance, they hear him on the phone and he never gets called back. Well I'm sorry for all the stupid fuckers that never met up with him, the guy is a real find and I'm glad we are the ones who found him.
