Daughter's dogs got out of the fence and according to her killed 2 of her 19 cats and maimed one of her dogs... She says that when she opened her automatic gate to back out, that they went into her yard and did the carnage... Maybe, but also she's a liar.. Her cats are always in my yard and her dog is always getting out and he starts fights... Anyone have any experience with this?

well she has every right to lodge a complaint against you, especially if she has evidence.

you're welcome to file a complaint against her if her animals are trespassing on your property too.

dont you have to keep your animals contained somehow whether it's by leash or cage or fenced in yard?

It all depends on your state laws. In most states, you would be civily responsible for any damaged that your dog would do to domestic pets on another's property. She would have to show that your dog did the damage on her property. This presumption is rebuttable if you can show that your dogs did not get out because of electric fence or fence. However, if she is saying that she is an eyewitness to her, you are going to have to come up with something strong. If you do not have a dog that is on the Dangerous dog list, have your homeowners insurance take care of it.
