NEEDSIZE 5X5 question

Shak

New member
hey there -

i started 5X5 last week. yesterday, was my back day. i did 5X5 dead lifts, 2X10 dumb bell rows and 2X10 lat pull down.

i was tired when i left the gym, but i felt like i wasn't in the gym long enough. was this an adequate back day? or am i missing something?

thanks

The time in the will increase as the weight increases. I spend about 30 minutes per muscle group. So if I do arms I am at the gym just about 1 hour so 30 minutes for bi's and 30 for tri's. Yesterday was chest day and it took 40 minutes to do a total of 10 sets of chest. 5x5 then 2x10, and 2x10 with one warm up before my 5x5. The heavier the weight gets the more rest you need between the 5x5's for maximum explosive energy.

yep, that looks a good session. Increment the 5x5 each week and pretty soon you will have some great streangth gains and a hard hard session. Good luck

the other guys hit the nail on the head, you're on the right track
