Got a flank steak
never cooked one before

gonna marinate it in fresh lime juice, olive oil, S&P and some garlic powder

any suggestions? cooking techniques? :p
 
High heat.....2 minutes each side...twice....so four minutes each side. Let it rest about 3 minutes before you slice it. If you have some chili paste to rub on it the last few minutes....that would be awesome too.

# Lay steak in a shallow glass or ceramic dish. Pierce both sides of the steak with a sharp fork. Pour marinade over steak, then turn and coat the other side.
# Preheat grill for high heat.
# Place grate on highest level, and brush lightly with oil. Place steaks on the grill, and discard marinade. Grill steak for 10 minutes, turning once, or to desired doneness.
 
You will get many great recipes I'm sure.....but it's all about technique.....Just remember to season it properly, cook it on each side twice and MOST IMPOTANTLY......LET IT REST BEFORE YOU SLICE IT AND EAT IT.

so rub would work better than marinade?
