Need New Routine Ideas

For those of you that went through fast active life to all day desk job:

I need some ideas to keep the bf% down since I have to make the adjustment of a desk job. The pounds are coming quick and I don't seem to be eating that bad. What can be done to reverse this? Thanks for the help

Don't snack at your desk. Get up and take walks around the office. Use the stairs when coming to work and maybe on a break walk up and down stairs. Try to be mobile as much as possible, and if you do snack....do it clean! Chicken breast, tuna, stuff like that. If you keep your diet in check you shouldn't see a gain in weight just from having a desk job. I have a desk job and my weight only depends on my diet, it has nothing to do with sitting for 8 hours a day. I go to the gym after work so just having a desk job shouldn't effect you.

ECA, eat clean all day, say no to business lunch unless it's a must, iso contractions and go work out after.

Ephedrine is not the answer. It'll make things worse in the long run. You need to move more bro. That's the answer.

Sounds like Trendsetter21 has it down, from a personal trainers point of view.

I would also just throw in a little bit about deviations and altering your work out in the gym. If your sitting all day at a desk when you hit the gym stay off things like the machs. and stationary bikes.

Free weights and stair master, incline tread mill etc.

Also a little something that seems to help a little is sit on a physo ball at work if you can rather than slouching or being lazy in a chair with a back the balance ball will help burn kcals a little more.

have had a desk job for 20+ years. good thing is your body is fresh for workouts and not beatup after 8-10 hrs of manual labor and recovery is much faster. Morning cardio before breakfast makes a huge difference for me. gets the metabolism going for the day and all you have to worry about is weight training after work. over the years i have bought a bike, treadmill, row machine, and an eliptical so i can mix it up. look for them in the paper or whatever for used stuff that people buy and never use. i got a $3000 treadmill for $250 that was used about 2 times. this way you can climb outa bed, jump on a machine, and 30-45 minutes later your good to go. i live in the northeast so i only get about 4 months of outside weather.
