first congratulations on losing the weight.

i think it is probably just fat. as you probably know, your chest muscles are not very developed. as they develop from your training, i think you will find that those fat pockets will
disappear. as your chest muscles come out, your skin will be pulled tighter across your chest and nipples will be less "puffy".

most of the time if you have gyno your nipples themselves will become more sensitive too. so again, if your nipples arent sensitive, then I dont think its gyno.

of course Im not a doctor... but i suggest you continue your training. i assume you have cleaned your diet up to be able to lose that weight. remember, you need to do the right things when you are NOT at the gym to put on muscle too. eat clean, get plenty of protein to feed your muscles, and make sure you get enough sleep for recovery.

give yourself 6 months of good training, and good eating and see if Im right and your chest starts to grow.

hope this helps

Ok well thanks.. well ive been working out for about 3-4 months now.. but i havnt rly been on a big diet. just i dont eat junk food or drink non diet cokes.. but im thinking maybe i should go on kinda of an atkins diet just eat meat and protein no carbs? would that help?

what are your goals for the time being (they will change in the future)?

do you want to be lean, or do you want to put on some size and muscle?

are you already signed on to go into military or just thinking about it?

keep staying away from the junk food. but atkins type diet isnt the way to go.
let me know the above and ill make a suggestion or two for ya

well i wanna put on size and muscle but also want to lose the excess fat.. and im going to join after im out of school. so im still thinking of it. but see i live with my parents so its not like i can go on an expensive diet or fancy one.. i normally work out after school for about 1 hour or so.. i used to run but i stopped. and normally i work out my upper body by doing dumbbells, curls, and benching, and chest pressing. maybe i should start running also? and i have protein powder i used to use. which is whey protein but i dont use it anymore afraid it im not working out enough and its just turning into fat.. i normally dont do a set thing i just do random upper chest stuff..

understand that the more muscle you have on your body, the more fat your body will burn.
also like i said before, there are factors outside the gym that affect the results you get inside the gym - ie eating, protein intake, sleep.

it sounds like you have the basic ideas down - training regularly, etc. it just needs some tweaking. you need to establish a workout routine. a rotation of what bodyparts you train. you want to train your entire body. for example, training legs, and back (big muscle groups) will put your body into a natural anabolic state. this means it kicks your body into growth mode. so training legs and back is important to your chest, and shoulders for example.

none of it is rocket science, but you will have a lot better success if you get some more info and establish some routines and goals.

you should start using your protein again. protein is what your muscles need to grow. if you arent putting enough in your body, you can not grow. you will find that you work out and 3 days later you are still sore. that is probably more a lack of protein than anything.

your diet doesnt have to be expensive. oatmeal, brown rice, sweet potatoes, red potatoes are all pretty inexpensive sources of complex carbs. protein is a little more expensive. chicken breast, tuna, eggs are probably the cheapest.

i think you should spend some time educating yourself more. if you can think of a topic, it has probably been discussed on EF. you are too young to be using AAS and can actually really do some damage to your body by doing so. So dont even spend time reading that info.

Instead read the diet and the lifting sections of EF. you will get real world info that you can apply yourself.

there is an ebook that I was just reading today that is a great resource as well. It is free and you can download it at the guys website at losefatandgainmuscle.com

It gives you the info that you need on workout routines, diet, how many calories to eat, how to do certain exercises... literally everything you will need to know.

I actually suggest that you start there and read it first and then come back to EF and use the site to fill in the gaps and get tips from time to time.

I would be interested to hear your progress on things too.

Make sure when you are doing this that you get into the mindset of enjoying it. It isnt something that you have to do. It should be something you want to do.

An interesting fact - for every 1 hour you spend in the gym, you add 2 hours to your life.

Okay well thanks ill go read some more and start sticking to that kind of a diet.. also about my protein powder should i use it before or after? i hear people saying to use it before so u can workout more but i dont really know. And yeah ill post my progress here over time. ill check in and out and stuff

to answer your question, you should drink a shake and eat some carbs an hour before you workout and then within 30 minutes of finishing working out. this 30 minute window is very important. you need the protein and carbs in your system right away.

i take the protein powder in a shaker cup when I go workout. When Im done I go to the water fountain and get water in the chocolate protein and mix up the shake and drink it. Then you can always take a baked potato along and eat it while going home. just get red potatoes and microwave it for abt 4 minutes in the morning. throw it in your gym bag and it will be good to go at the end of your workout.

ideally you need to be eating 6 - 7 times a day, every 2 -3 hours. that may be hard to do with school. so you'll have to work around that. the ebook link i gave you goes into pretty good detail about it.

for example to figure out how many calories you need to eat, take your bodyweight x 15. but then you need to know what % of protein, carbs, and fat you need. once you figure that out (explained in the book) you can divide it by 6 meals and that tells you how much of each you need per meal.

remember that as your body weight goes up from putting on muscle, you will need to increase your calorie intake accordingly.

the ebook is abt 50 pages so will only take you an hour or so to read it. understand that i dont have any affiliation with this ebook, but there is more detail than i can put in a post on EF.
