Ok, so i'm looking to build muscle mass, but not HEAPS. I was wondering if i do a programme such as 2x 12 reps, will i build muscle?? i don't want to get really big, just have a bit of bulk. Also, when doing the sets, should i only work each muscle group once per set??

Didn't you post pretty much this same question about three days ago?

I suggest you take the time to read some of the fine responses in that other thread. You'd be well served by doing some reading in the links that AnotherButters provided, too.

Maybe we're confused about what you mean by "muscle groups". Could you give some examples of what you mean by the term, please?

Maybe if you posted your workout someone would look at it and make suggestions for improvement.

You want to get from point A to point B but not really interested in point D. The fastest way to get from A to D will get you from A to B the fastest. Building muscle and transforming your physique is not a fast process even under the best circumstances this is made worse by handicaping yourself in fear of gaining too much muscle faster than you can control. Think about it, would the anabolic board really be so popular if this was a quick and easy process? Look at all those posts from "plateaued at 5'10" 170lbs with perfect training and diet posts". It isn't like just randomly going in and doing some stuff is working too well for most people. A good resistance program (rare) is a good resistance program - find one and use it along with food intake to get you to your goals in the most efficient manner.
