need help with bigger chest

im looking to get a bigger chest and need some advice. should i use free weights or isolation machines (made for chest workouts)? currently i am only using machine weights and i am seeing results. but i was just wondering if i would get better results with free weights. thanks
 
if you are just starting bbing, you dont really have any use for machines. you need to start benching heavy, squatting and dead lifting heavy. these exercises are all necessary in order for you whole body to grow, as they invlove large compound movements which place stress on other, smaller muscle groups, causing growth.
to begin with look in the weight lifting and training forum, ther is some good stickies on how to begin weightlifting- the 5x5 is a good place to start.
 
thanks but im not new to this. i lifted for a while and i just want to know how to get a bigger chest. im now thinking of using dumbbells instead of machines or barbells. like incline/bench/decline all with dumbells and then do flys to finish it off. what do you guys think?
 
well if you been lifting for a while, adding db's to your routine is a good idea. start mixing your chest press up- using db's will work all the stabilising muscles around the chest, as they fight to keep it's path stable, promoting more growth. incline is great for upper chest, i have just started doing a lot of decline db's as my lower chest needs work, i havnt been doing it long enough to see the difference yet, though. flyes are good for shaping the chest, but not much point to them unless you already have a big chest. which you might do, i dont know
 
Dumb bell and barbell presses. Focus on those. go heavy
 
thanks. im gunna alternate between db and bb every 3-4 weeks. cuz i heard changing your workout helps prevent you from getting bored/stalling.

Why don't you just switch every workout? That's what I do. The weight goes up too. Your way is fine, but keeping it different everytime is how I like to do it. just a suggestion.

thanks for the response. yea im gunna give it two months and see if its working. but i think it will cuz the fact that its free weights and its working a lot of minor muscles while i try to stabilize the weight. i should gain some mass
 
Flat Barbell Bnech press, Flat Dumbbell Press, and Dips. I used to do all the flies etc but now alls I do is the those 3 and my chest is looking bigger after only a month or so
 
my chest isnt to great, but i love the feeling when i sqeeze the shit out of it every rep.
