need help..want to work at GNC but..

they want somebody who's 18 years old or older. i'm not quite 18 (i'm 16) but i'm an avid powerlifter and i'm constantly researching nutrition and training. i hold a world record bench if that will help me at all. i know of some minors like me that got in

is there a way i can get the job? the thing is..they had these 'mini-applications' where they will look at that and then call you if they want you to fill out a real application. i probably wont even get called

the guy i talked to briefly said he was the manager. when i asked him about being 18 he said that's what 'they' wanted because of cash deposits, but i probably dont HAVE to be 18

help me out please. i'd actually enjoy this job and i feel i'd be good at it
