I was just wondering ways I could spice up my grilled or boiled chicken and ways to spice up my steamed brown rice. I am going to be eating this regularly for the next nine weeks. Thanks from Georgia Irish

Pan grill a chicken breast, remove from pan, add mushrooms, onions and garlic, cook until translucent. Add about a half cup of low fat, low sodium chicken broth, scrape the bottom of the pan with chciken stock to dissolve the brown bits on bottom, add a tablespoon of dijon mustard and stir. Ad back the chicken breast, and coat it and serve with your sauce.

This will do wonders for your breasts, uh chicken breasts.

well, hot sauce will work wonders,
also the obvious spices, used individually, oregano.....
a good marinade....beer or wine, soy sauce, these are the two main ingrediants, then add a little yellow mustard, chopped cilantro, horseradish, chinese 5 spice, oregano, oster sauce. and pretty much anything else you got..... in small amounts....

what method do you use with the beer or wine? just like a marinade? also what kind of beer tastes the best with chicken? I personally like Bud Ice for drinking purposes:D

here's a good grillin' rub.

garlic powder, onion powder, cilantro, crushed black pepper, chili powder (small amount,) and cayenne pepper.

damn good stuff.

heres a great marinated chicken recipe
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/4 olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon fresh oregano or 1/4 teaspoon dried

make marinade by combining above ingrediants..place chicken in a dish with tall sides and pour marinade over chicken. use spoon to baste chickn with marinade. refrigerate for 2 to 24 hrs--a longer marinade time will produce a more intense flavor. grill chicken over high heat for a total of 20 mins, turning over after first 10 mins.

Put brown rice, diced grilled chicken, and some red pepper in a sautee pan...add some balsamic vinegar, olive oil and garlic....cook for a few minutes....yummy :) I mix all kinds of vegetables with my chicken to give it a different taste so I don't get bored...

Goya Sazon. It's an orange colored spice (not orange flavored) and you can put it on anything- chicken, fish, steak, etc.

Tastes good and it's real cheap and has no nutritional value :)
