Need Help... Psych Thesis Survey

Hi everyone... I've been a lurker here for almost forever.

Anyway, I'm a 4th year psychology student and am working on my honours thesis. Could you guys help me out by taking a few mins to answer an online questionnaire I've developed? It is a questionnaire dealing with sexual behaviour and attitudes.

The survey consists of two parts -- Part A and Part B -- and shouldn't take more than 7-8 minutes to complete.

To take part in this survey, you must be a Male between 18-30 years of age.

Please be as honest and candid in answering the questions as possible. All information gathered from the questionnaire is anonymous and strictly confidential.

Whoa!

First off, HOUNDOG, I am a guy... as in male... and no, not some sort of "feminist male" either. The survey is not "misrepresentetive" because it is designed to gather specific information based on the subject's responses... this information is not meant to be "transparent" for the subject. In case your wondering (assuming), no, this survey is not looking to assess in any way whether you're a male chauvinist or something to that effect... the survey is actually looking to gather information on something independent of that. Also, the components of the survey are not unique... as in I did not create them. They were actually chosen and used as part of the survey because they have been used extensively in the past and have shown a high degree of validity... again, in assessing specifics that the components are designed to assess -- not what the readed automatically "assumes" they asses.

Secondly, bkellyms, read my post again... I stated "I've been a lurker here for almost forever"... not "I have been a member lurking here forever" as you've posted. In any case, I read posts... I don't make posts... that's what the term "lurker" means. In case you don't already know this, you don't need to be a registered "member" to read posts. I've learned a lot from the forums at this site over the years. I don't see the need to post a question that's already been answered literally 5000 times before... I'm someone who actually uses the "search" button.

I'm totally cool with constructive criticism, but your reference to poor design and invalid assumptions is unfounded. I mean if once the study was completed and you had a chance to read the finished paper and see "what" the research was studying, "how" it was studying it, and any conclusions that are drawn AND THEN you stated it was poorly designed and makes invalid assumptions, that would be totally justified and understandable. In other words, you are making assumptions (general or specific) in your own mind of what the study is looking at and how it is looking at it. For all you know, the study in reality (to simplify) may just be something to the effect of "The number of males between 18-30 who are willing to answer an online questionnaire about sexual behaviour and attitudes" Do you see what I mean?

Anyway, thanks for the guys who have already taken the survey... I appreciate the help. And thanks for the feedback/replies to this post... I hope I was able to clarify things a little.

Your first question is off dude. You said you only want males to take the test yet you ask if the person is a male or a female. I have my degree is psych and I am getting my masters... what class is this for?? I was honors as well. By the way you are typing honours... you must be a foreigner.
