need advice quick

"belongs on the legal board" - I know... it's getting ZERO traffic and I need advice.

I got a notice in my mailbox that said I had received a registered envelope. I called PO and told them to hold it for me. I go to PO today to pick up/check it out... was a package from overseas. They wanted my signature. I thought about it, and refused the package. The guy behind the counter said, "Well, don't be surprised if you get an e-mail asking you why you refused your envelope. This is your package... it's addressed to you."

Was I just being paranoid? Did I send up red flags by refusing? What can I do now? Call and say, "Ooohhh yeah. I know what it is now. I'll come get it." What are options/scenarios/advice.

Thanks

:alien: you're paranoid. go and try to get your package before its too late.(unless of course you're not expecting anything)

Term, I did. That's what pisses me off. I checked to be SURE no sig required... what happens... sig required.

So it does not matter that I've already refused it? Then I go back to get it? This is the relevant matter.

Yeah, some do require sigs. But your kinda in a sticky situation now. I'd be surprised if they didn't open it already.

I always wondered what they'd do to international packs that are refused. I'm doubting they'll send it back.

Well with that info, I don't know if I personally would pick it up. But I sure as hell would be tempted...if no sig. is supposed to be required then why are they asking for one now would be my question? That sounds a little fishy for me...

Since you've already made a skeptical of yourself, when you go back demand your package immediately. Tell them you will blow the place up if they don't move fast enough.

I ended up going back in. Got the same worker. :(
Told him some BS about knowing who it is from now... blah blah blah... he took out the package... I saw it hadn't been opened. Signed and left. He said, "I don't blame you for not signing for it the first time. But thanks for taking care of that."

Bottom line: I'll never use that source again. Was told NO sig needed. BUT, I have my goodies... so I'll call it even. ;)
