I'm looking for a good firewall.
I had Zone Alarm Pro, but the update "subscription" expired and I opted not to renew. Now, it has turned into 'hassleware' with an annoying repeating message. I think I'm done with them.
I want something that is not a resource hog. And I don't need an 'all -in -one' internet security suite, either.
Any suggestions?

Click on the link for Shields up and then Proceed; there should be an option for "All Service Ports" if you click it it will tell you which are open, closed or stealth, stealth being the best.
If you get some that are closed, well at least they are closed but its responding to pings which isn't exactly what you want. After the test is over it gives a run down of what each means. I've always used this to test any hardware/software firewall I've used.
Hardware is definitely the way to go but its more expensive.
