Neck stiffness (serious question)

anthrax

I went to the gym yesterday evening and had a regular workout
I went to bed OK but didn't sleep well and felt that my neck was getting stiff
This morning it's really stiff (on one side)

It doesn't really hurt but it's quite annoying

What can I do?
and is it possible that it comes from my air conditioner?

[Mods, please leave this thread a little bit in C&C before moving it to the "Medical Issues" board]

Well, I would say definitely do not do anything drastic (i.e. quick jerking movements from side to side).

Try:

- taking a hot shower and/or bath
- heating pad
- gently moving your head side to side, front to back to stretch it
- PM me porn

Yo. When I wrestled in High School we used to do these neck streches. Put your head on the ground, ass in the air and the tip of your toes planted firmly. Then roll your neck around slowly. I'll paste this on your other thread good bro. :Chef: :tuc:

Thanks guys!

I'll try that

As for your 4th point, Killah --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> (only for guys)

try hot/cold compresses for 20min...back and forth between the two temps...put some advil on board....

Hey Dude,

Use a heating pad, and get a back-massage. See, your back has formed knots which connect to your neck (think muscle spasm). Stop working out for a while. I know it sux, but do it anyway.

Update:

Almost 36 hours after ther first symptoms, the stiffness is no longer so bad but it's still disabilitating

I guess I forced on my neck Friday evening (maybe while doing box squats)
and I guess the air conditioner on my back most of the night didn't help

Thanks for the good advice guys!
