Id say not really. Most offensive lineman have really nasty looking bodies. Wide waists, knees that sort of bend inwards, no glutes, arms that should be big but really arent. They structurally dont have it to be a bodybuilder. Now Im sure everyone can come up with an exception to this, but...the general offensive lineman would not do well.
Now if we look at the linebackers I think most of these guys could. They are normally big, lean as shit, and mean too. I think if they channelled that energy to getting ready for a show and training for bodybuilding they could do extremely well.
There are also some wide receivers that have a hell of a physique. David Boston comes to mind. Dont forget about Shannon Sharpe in the tight end position.
Of course the genetics of most of these pro athletes, excluding the lineman generally speaking, are unbelievable leading me to believe they could excel in just about any sport.
Im a Bengals fan, chad Johnson will say he eats like shit, McDonalds, waffle house etc, when they showed him on tv with his shirt off he had a very developed siz pack and a huge full chest. Tell me with proper nutrition and training he couldnt easily add 30-40 lbs to his 190 6'1" frame. David Boston did. So no to the lineman and yes to just about any other player on the field in the NFL IMO.
