Natural Peanut Butter?

is it that much better for you than regular. i just compared skippy regular to smuckers natural and didnt see much of a difference.

YES but it does not taste as "exciting"

And yes it is better for you do to less byproducts, Sugar and chemicals.

I like the all natural one that has flax seeds in it. Very Tastey....

It is a lot better man. I have found Nature's Promise (stop & shop store brand) and Maple Grove Farms to be great. Don't miss regular PB at all.

Only ingredients should be: peanuts, salt

I think I eat the Smuckers ANPB, and they have came out with ANPB w/ Honey in it. Regular Peanut Butter now actually makes me kind of sick to my stomach and gives me a headache, stuff that taste way to sweet to me now makes me sick. Just like if I eat something with grease on it, I can't be at work because I'll be running back and forth for a good hour or two to the bathroom.

It is something you'll hate at first, but when you switch over you'll be glad you did it and the taste will get better and better and better until it taste like regular PB.

Awesome post. I couldn't agree more!!

Both have the same amounts of Fat and Salt generally.

Regular PB has all of the Good peanut oil removed and replaced with vegetable oils, Trans fat in some cases, to keep it from being oily.

It also has a lot of Sugar added.

So yes, Natural PB is better for you due to lower sugar and healthier oil/fat

alright thanks for all the responses, just wanted to check because they seemed the same to me but if it has the better oils then ill go with natural

I've tried a few Natural PBs and hated them all until I got some Skippy brand and the stuff is great, you don't have to stir it or anything and to me it tastes better than regular PB.

The skippy may be "all natural", but it still has added ingredients that are not peanuts and salt. It is also homogenized. I cannot eat anything but unadulterated PB.

while on the subject whats best way to mix the oil i try with a spoon and that doesnt work very well would it be good to use a mixer, and mix the jar or will it be the same way the next day?

Knife works best IMO. If you eat it every day you wont even need to stir much. Just give it a few folds every time you enjoy it.

Yea, Skippy natty is the best tasting other than the one with honey in it,
but it has sugar and palm oil added to keep it solid

yea natural just has peanuts and oil
The all natural PB should say "just peanuts" or "peanuts", only ingredient, that is the best option

That is what you want.. my comment answered your question if it was better, "i just compared skippy regular to smuckers natural and didnt see much of a difference."

With a laundry list of ingredients with the partially hydrogenated oils etc is what you want to avoid.

Same goes with other foods as well. I don't care if it says fat free, low carb etc... if the ingredients are as long as the label or things I cannot really pronounce, I usually do not buy/consume it.
