I just read an article that says cortisol is highest in the morning around 7am (assuming you are on a 'normal' schedule). I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but it seems that taking a cortisol blocker would be the most effective as soon as you wake up in the morning. Any thoughts on this?
it would be. I learned a long time ago, drinking a protein shake with a purer protein like whey isolate, with about 30g of carbs will help blunt the effects of cortisol in the morning.
another thing you can do is take a good dose of bcaa's first thing in the morning.
