Ok, we're about to head off to the gym with our new friend Cheese. I'm gonna try my hand at a few strongman moves, and I'm pretty excited about it! I hear that we'll be doing the farmer's walk, sled pulling, and some yoke walking.

Gonna have a blast!! :D

:lmao:

I can just hear the stories now...lol...

Hard to believe that Cheese is about to graduate with his Masters in Safety...lololol

We just finished a little while ago. It was the marathon workout. We both did our thing with weights and then it was on to the strongman moves. We started with a simulated yoke walk in the powerrack. This was definitely my favorite! I think this could have carryover possibilities for my squat :D Then we did some Zercher squats. Wow, those were tough, especially after doing sets of 10 on regular squat. Then it was on to the Hercules hold on the cable crossover machine. This was tough on me. Either my grip sucks, or my little hands just can't hold onto it well. We finished up with some sled pulling. It was raining, so we had to do this inside. It was pretty cool as well.

I also got to try some box squats for the first time and pull-throughs. I like them both very much!

I'd have to say the most entertaining part of the workout was the very last exercise we did. Reverse hypers on a bench off of the stability ball. If only I had a camera.....

BG15, my husband did those reverse hypers on a stability ball for the first time last night. It was a hoot. Where's the video camera when I need it? Our bench wobbles from side to side a tad, because the support beam is down the middle. Well, he kept bending his legs to stabalize himself. Let's just say he looked like a frog that was too bloated to hop.

What surface did you drag on? If you build a little frame the width of the sled and put some thick shag carpet in it, you can use it to drag behind a treadmill when it's bad out.

I think about reverse hypers, GMs, box squats, sled dragging, and all the things I've done that have improved my numbers. Then I look at your numbers...they're incredible already. Then to think that you are JUST NOW adding this stuff in. Oh, the possibilities....

:garza:

Our bench doesn't really wobble, he was just wobbling :)

We were dragging the sled on regular carpet in the gym. That's a very good idea about the treadmill. Might have to give that a whirl!

I can't wait to see what this next training cycle does for my numbers!!

Thanks for signing my guestbook too!!

Tons of fun and lots of laughs!!

He is super nice :)

I thought it was so neat to be able to meet somebody from the boards. I can't wait to meet some more of you guys!

I have a friend who will be moving to New Orleans in a few months. . . I may have to drive down south and meet Bigguns and Power Machine.

WoW!!!!!!

I just want to thank Bigguns 15 and Power Machine for all their hospitality. It was really swell of them to have me come visit them.
They are awesome people. The workout was good and Bigguns 15 is a trooper. She didn't back down from any challenge. Power Machine was cool with us taking so long. He is definitely an alright fellow. Thank you once again.

Good times, I tell you.

You wouldn't happen to have a video of you doing this, would you? For some reason, I am having a hard time picturing it in my mind.

Thanks,
Joker

Actually I'm going to build a sled mill with a box that's a 4' X 2' x 10" , and fill it with rock and gravel for here at the house. The carpet's just lighter and more portable. I don't have pics of ME doing it, no.
