hey everyone..i'm seeking advice to try to help out my girlfriend. long story short...about a year ago she had some hormonal changes that have her messed up. when i say messed up, the short story, of the VERY long one, is that she is fatigued and tired a lot of the time. she is 33 and as of a year ago was very active and energetic. she has doctors that she has worked with but none seem to have really helped much. she started taking a tiny (don't know the dose or name) dose of an anti-depressant that seemed/seems to help some. her pms has become very bad, and it has never been like this in her life. she is fairly active and jogs about 4 miles 2-3 times a week. she has become pretty good with her nutrition, although i don't feel that she eats enough. so all of this leads to my main question/s...i would like to see her using supplements, diet, and excercise to try to get everything in check. i can help her on the diet and excercise part, but know nothing about women's supplements. i am looking for recommendations on what she should be using on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. if someone could make some simple suggestions, or maybe even a simple list, it would be much appreciated. thanks in advance (i hope!)

A lot of Dr's. prescribe antidepressent when there're hormones chages on a woman because they basically don't know what to do. I'd have her see an Endocrinologyst to check her hormones. I know she's young, but we all go through hormonal changes at a different time. In addition, she needs to exercise. If you can post her diet as to what exactly she eats and drink, when, how much she eats would be very helpful.

I'm confused, you know she's had hormonal changes but not what kind? Or you kind of know but don't know the details?

Thandy is right on, if her endocrine system is messed up there are things your lady can do, dietary, supplementally, lifestyle, etc., that can help but if she has a definitive problem, something with her thyroid or pituitary gland or ovaries, then you can throw all the vitamins you want to at it and it's not going to make a lick of difference. There is nothing that you can buy OTC that makes up for lack of thyroid, for example. If she had a total hysterectomy then getting on natural HRT is going to make all the difference in the world with how she feels but again, that's something that should be dealt with by a doctor.
