my thoughts on black coaches

Most suck and need to get fired. Im not saying more arent qualified, but most blacks athletes seem to think that just because there good at their sport so therefore they must qualify to be a coach also. this isnt true and has nothing to do with being good at coaching.
 
Don't know if there is any truth to this but it seems mediocre players have been the best coaches. Seems that is the case more times than not.

That's because the mediocre players are cut sooner and go into coaching to stay involved with the sport. The better players keep playing til they're financially set and don't need to coach.

While I agree with this, I think that maybe the reason why mediocre players become better coaches is because they have better game sense, but maybe they're arent physically as capable as some of the stronger players and cant demonstrate their methods and skill as well the others.

Damn you! I was going to post the same thing.

They know the fundamentals and understand the game but don't have the physical tools to be a great player.

Lotta times it's the mediocre players, who don't have much natural talent, who had to work hard and really learn the plays and the strategy, who go on to be great coaches.
 
Often the great players have so much natural talent thet they have no clue why they're good. Never having had to work to study techniques which come easily to them, they often lack any skill to pass tuition onto others. One of the much-needed aspects opf a good coach is being able to identify and resolve problems. Without the experience of being at least a bit of a fuck-up and having worked through it, the great players can make very poor coaches and tutors.

there are just as many good black coaches as white coaches, proportionally.
 
You guys shuldn't and I dont know why I am, but don't waste your time on this guys threads.....he is the same one that blames the credit card company for his debt, says somethings wrong with his dick but cant afford a doctor then makes a post saying he wears $500 dollars worth of clothes at all times. LOL and gave me red K for giving him an honest opinion on his priorities.

I wouldn't say they have better game sense. I think a truly great player has a difficult time being a coach or teaching the game in general simply because they don't know how to impart what to them was natural. They also tend to lack the patience of a lesser player for the same reason.
 
Reverse the question: How many coaches, given the talent and opportunity to do both, would choose coaching over playing?

LMAO! I thought so too. I was looking to see why black roaches are so much worse than brown ones, or :rainbow: ones.
"Pinball" Clemens of the Toronto Argonauts was an allstar player & he's a great coach too.
