MY squat form is degrading faster than reality television

I was training specifically for Olympic lifting with a coach and the squat was always a favorite or mine. Front squat, back squat...even that damn overhead squat.

My work schedule began to be more time consuming and I was no longer able to meet a specific times with the coach. Now I work out at the local gym down the street generally late in the evening.

The 5X5 always seemed very interesting and on the third week, my lower back is killing me. I took a videos clip of myself and the issue seems to be a shifting of the pelvis, just like in video 1 of the squat help sticky. I'm doing all that is suggested but still have problems with arching/shifting....and lower back pain.

Should I switch to a new routine?
Perhaps keep the 5X5 but use front squat instead?
Just significantly lower the weight and keep with back squat?

As soon as I figure out how to add a video link, I'll include it for pointers. I thought squatting was like riding a bike...apparently it can be a perishable skill....for me a least.

Never sacrifice form for weight. If your having low back pain that tells me your leaning forward too much. You should never squat with your weight on your toes. You should be driving your heels in the ground while spreading the floor. Keep your chest high and upper back tight. Also arch your lower back and keep your whole body rigid. You should also be doing lots of posterior chain work to strengthen those muscles.

Thank you! I'm dropping the 5X5 and moving to a different routine where I can keep the weight very low on my squat and focus on form only.......
