just wanted to say that with school, working out, and studying i dont have time for shit because i have so much trouble in school that i have to study 6 hours a day plus my classes start at 8:00am and i commute so i wake up at 4:30am and go to sleep around 12:00 usually giving me like 4 hours every night, then sleep at the library for 1 hour in between classes then 2 hours when i get home, so i get like 7 hours in intervals....how counterproductive is that?!! \

with this sleep rate, will i ever grow and recover?!!
 
I totally feel for you brutha. I am also getting 4 and 1/2 hours sleep each night right now.

It is shitty, I don't have an answer, it just sucks.

I guess we could try to get in the deepest sleep possible to get into that REM sleep. Supposedly ZMA could help, and thats also what those old GHB precursers were used for. If you find something good, give me a holler.
 
ZMA didn't work for me. Glutamine helped me get a deeper sleep. GHB could do the trick. Honestly though, you really do need to get more sleep. The more the better.
 
The sleep patterns you describe are brutal.I have similar problems due to my work.It destroys growth and recovery because you don't get a full sleep cycle,witch will cause problems with natural hormone release.When my sleep is fucked up growth stops,and I'am currently recovering and growing fast due to muscle memory.Without the sleep no matter how I eat or train I stall,and experience joint pain.Studies suggest minimum sleep for an average person is 7 hours,intensly trained athletes showed best results with 9 hours sleep.Also bodies circadian rythums will be out of whack if you don't go to bed and rise at a similar time each day.If you want more detailed info let me know. I have much more detailed info onthese subjects,comments above are just a very light over view.
