My Quest to COMPETE - BEAT THE DISEASE!

this is not a pitty post.....I just need to release...dont you fucking dare feel sorry for me......

I must have been a child molestor in my previous life. I had a fing wonderful childhood....two great parents.....money......friends.....looks.....athletic ablity. and I wouldnt just say that if i wasnt told it a hundred times. Boy, you coulda been a model...or man, you could go D.1.......I then had a great college life....chicks, booze.....strength.....

but something happened. i dont know what, but not a day goes by where i am not in pain. where i am not obsessing about when to train, what to eat, when to eat....the gi of this ....the carb content complex/simple......why wont you eat fruit or whole wheat pasta jeff? ummm....you guys would NOT understand.....now i got the pinched nerve...thank god it's not my cuff or shoulder.....i cant do any chest movement or movement on my back....i can dead, front squat, preacher curl, bench dip, triangle tri press, almost barbell row. but anything overmy head, forget it...not even the bar. so am i screwed? I can still beat this thing doing those movements right? fuck eating......can I still grow on those movements?

Movements don't make you grow, brother.....they provide the stimulus, but if you won't eat enough, you won't grow.....to answer your question, all of the stuff you mentioned, when trained progressively and with a plan/purpose can provide the stimulus to grow.

You suffered an injury.....so what? Make the most of it, train around it, and come back from it.

If anybody needs a midnight trip to Taco Bell in a little bit, it's you, bro.

Don't feel sorry for you? All you want is attention. Look at this fucking thread. The only reason people look at it is to see what you are going to whine about today. All you do is look for excuses. Eating disorder, injury, disease, etc. Suck it up and quit your pity party.

Did someone mention deload earlier? There are two ways to learn about deloading. They're both effective but one takes longer than the other.

The first is to do it and experience how it works. Your energy levels climb back up, the aches and pains go away and you start to feel strong and vital again.

The second is to ignore the need to deload. You pop an injury, spend some time complaining about it and how unlucky it was and how nobody could have forseen it and it's just one of those gym things. You take a month or more out from some of your lifts and, eventually, the aches and pains go away and you start to feel strong and vital again.

Over the years, I've come to prefer the former option even though the latter is occasionally too tempting to resist.

It all comes down to personal preference in the end and I see that you're leaning towards the injury option.
..

It'll pass; it's just an injury. Take this as an opportunity to pile on some pounds.

Hey boz, fuck yourself...........

bigt and blunt....can you help me devise a solid training schedule that will yield some mass....I'm done with themirror shit...Im keeping the cardio for sanity and eating like never before. Is it a phase, probably, but when you kick me in the ass, then I'll keep going....up in weight..........let's roll

I can:
preacher curl
bench dip
front squat
dead
possible smith delt press
possibly smith bench

can't

fly movemnts
str8 bar curls
close grip bench
front raise

i wish i could diagnose this bitch....is it a muscle strain? Fine it'll pass....is it a tendon? fine itll pass....is it more serious? How do I know if it's more serious. you guys have had em.....if I can raise it in all directions, side and front are painful but can do it, it can't be torn, right? I'd know if it was I hope........lemme know yor thoughts.....legs today:

front squats
hack squats
leg press
light gms
ext and calves

tomorrow
suppose to be chest but i gotta switch to hammys

Jeff, I've been banged up a million times over the years. Obviously whatever I tell you cannot take the place of sound medical advice, but for what it's worth, if there isn't any swelling and I have my range of motion (painful or not), I don't panic. I'd stay AWAY from anything that aggrevated it and train progressively with whatever I can......over time it'll keep getting better and at some point return to the things you couldn't do and rebuild them progressively.

For today, I'd scrap hack squats......train the fronts 5x5 and add weight each set.....then leg press 4 sets of 8-10 or so, then finish with extensions and calves.....if tomorrow is 'hams' then don't do GMs today

thats enough of a workout bro? I just feel like I need MORE...you know me....how long can I go without benching or chest and still get massive...I want you to reassure me this in no way will set me bnack. I'll fighjt through it, i'll cheat, Ill eat whatever the fuck you tell me....I need this help bro....diet is one thing, but pain in the gym like no one's business sucks. For example, turning my alarm clock off felt like someone just shot me with a shot gun.....i have fll rain, but it jst kills and feels like its dislocated...just a feeling of course and mymasseus says it in the rhombus region, bt the pain shoots everywhere....

You have a masseus??

LOL !!!!

Anyway, I thought that you'd beat this thing by now.
But yes , you need to put down some food to see gains in the mirror

As far as the pain , just suck it up. You're feeling sorry for yourself. Snap out of it and get intense.

More isn't better, better is better. What you can do is this....actually, do me a favor, lol, and lay to rest the concept of training "quads" and "hams". I wish separate days for quads and hams would go to the burial ground with other 80's BB garbage like Zubazz, bandanas, "3 on, 1 off", and the fanny pack, lol....... If you squat and leg press with a full range of motion, there is no way around activating your hamstrings......today is Sun, on Wed squat again and do deadlifts.

Front Squat (several warm-ups, then 5x5 at the same weight, then 1x8-12)

Good Morning (4x8, add weight each set)

Leg Press (4x10)

Calf Raises (whatever you like)

You can do 2 sets each of extensions/curls, and although it is harmless enough, I am telling you it is totally unecessary.

Again, you got hurt.....big deal....we all get hurt, if you didn't ever get a slight injury, then you're not training hard enough. This is in NO way a setback, the only thing that could pose a setback is mishandling it. Don't worry about it.

Also, ask the masseuse if she'll give you a happy ending, you need one bad, man......then go out for a nice meal and get ready for a good week of lifting.

I just got this message bro and Iwas planning on hitting hammys today. I tried to do a set of light cable crosses this am and I could do it lightly, but no way I can lay and bench. Shoulder press is out of the equation to. I did 2 sets of front yesterday and was in discomfort so I did back squats 5 sets of 5 and then set of 20 with 140lbs. I am just so weak in the legs from constant abuse. It was hell though.

I then did a few hacks, a few leg presses and some extentions and calves.

I was hoping to do str8 legs today and then conv on friday. I was also thinking tomorrow I should do some back cable rows heavy and any other pull motion, maybe some str8 rows.....what else should I do today? Can I do ham curls seated and standin along with deads and good mornings? Maybe some smith lunges or quats feet far far out instead of close?
