My purple arm??? WTF???

creep

When I got out of the shower yesterday I noticed a bruise on the inside of left bicep by my elbow. I doesn't really hurt, it just feels like a bruise. The thing I don't know how I got it. I'm on 500mg Cytest WK and 75mg Fina ED.

Could the AS have cause this in any way??? It's weird cause when I first started this cycle I had bruising on my legs for the first 2 weeks. And now I getting the same type of bruising on my arms.

None of these bruise are on injection sites..

if they are near injection sites then it could be blood draining from them... ie shoulder.. biceps..

if not then.. it could be a weakening of the vascular walls that has led to vessel "bursts".. which is not good..

what is your vitamin C intake?

but as SG said you may need to go the doctor..

could also be high BP.. combined with thin vascular walls

I'm actually meeting a friend tonight who's a RN. I wanted to see what she thought about it before I went to see a doctor.

The reason I didn't rush off to the ER is that it doesn't hurt. Even if I apply pressure, there isn't any pain.

I injected my bicep last week but the bruise is about 4 inches away from the injection site.

As for my vitamin c intake; I take a multi-vitamin which consists of 300mg daily. Would supplementing more vitamin c help??

well you probably should be taking more Vit C

but am willing to guess that this is just a "bleed" from your bicep injection... the blood slowly settles.. gravity.. and ends up under your skin.. where you can now see it.. though the injury occurred several days prior..

think of it as a deep bruise that takes a while to surface..

kind of like when you sprain you ankle and a couple day later your toes are black and blue..

I hate to throw this red flag in... but you also need to be tested immediately for diabetes.

Diabetes runs in my family, so I get tested about twice a year as a precaution. Last time I was tested was in Feb. I plan on getting full blood work done post cycle.

But yeah, Diabetes was one of the first things that came to mind.

All these things are possible... but if he is getting multiple unexplained bruise sites on his body he needs to get tested for diabetes ASAP.

SG,

dont think that they are unexplained.. just not explained in the first post..

these bruises (at least from additional info given) are in the LIMBS where injects done.. thus the bleed (bruise) + gravity.. is the most likely cause..

though agree if unexplained could be VERY serious..

Your absolutely right Macro, I guess I didn't give enough detail in the original post.

I never thought the bruises were caused by the injections because they are inches away from the injection site. Now that I think about it the bruises are always south of the site.

The bruises on my legs were on the outer/lower part of my quads, above my knees. Gravity would cause the blood to travel south away inches away from the actual injection spot.

This being my first cycle I wasn't expecting to bruise.

if you are bruising fairly heavily.. which the pooling blood indicates.. you probably need to increase your intake of vitamin C and add some flavanoids like quercetin.. ala or r-ala may also help..

I had this. Sorta. This is my first cycle, so I am not a pro at the art of injections. Anyhow, I had one injection that took several pokes and ended up with a nasty, big, bruise about 4" south of the injection site. I proceeded to attempt to inflict bruises just to see if I was bruising especially easy. I wasn't, it was just from the injection...

so you're saying you beat the shit out of yourself? ;)

sometimes I am so amazed at how reticent the members of this board are to see doctors, they are there to help and I pay 15 bucks a visit, 50 if it is an emergency.

Thats nice but some people pay much more.

Not only that but I don't go see a Doctor every time I get a bruise.

yeah, but wasn't that the whole point of your post? you had bruises that were unaccounted for and still are somewhat, I mean you are not positive where they are coming from. most likely an injection, but my point is that you never know, especially hairy with your families' history of diabetes. No need to be snippy, just looking out for you bro!

JK Quad. I'm beginning to think I have a wrist injury. I'll tell you what Quad, hell I don't need this arm anyway, I'll cut your arm off if you cut mine off. Deal? No more pain after that! :D
