My New Job Does A Background Check

They said they are going to call my former employers. One of them is a real asshole who did nothing but lie to me. Because I know he is such a jerk and because of the way I left during all the drama going on, i'm worried that he is going to make up a bunch of lies to get me fired. Has this ever happened to any one...????

Did you work privately for him? Or is he part of a company? Most large companies are very selective in what they would tell employers that call them for fear of lawsuits, I know of quite a few that will only verify employment dates and thats it.
