my modeling thang

they told me that they were interested in me and it was up to me. They said i would get a lot of work because they only have 2 other asians at the agency.

Most of you know that one of the ploys modeling agencies has is charging for modeling school, well these guys say its free but you have to pay 700 for the pictures and a promo card to advertise you. and its on a paymen plan that you can pay at each class. but i can also get modeling jobs while the classes are going on so i can pay it off.
another hing is the place is 40 miles awayso thatlly be 40 miles both ways each week for class . hows it sound to you? it is called mjk talent studio, they are pretty reputable.

I hate to say it but they still sound a bit shakey. Anyone that has a modeling school should be considered unreliable even if you don't have to pay for it. Try and do some more research because that doesn't sound kosher to me. Best of luck...

Listen up and listen up good. This is how is works. The modeling agencies that charge anything for you to come abord suck. What they do is take on so many people a month and collect all the cash off of pictures and all the other shit. What they dont tell you is that the company doesnt get much work, yes some of the models will get work but they know the majority of them are not going to, this is why they charge you. They have to pay their bills some how. Now companys that are doing well( elite, ford LA Models, etc), will not charge and they are very picky because they know who ever they take is going to make them money. They dont take just above average looking kids....only the best. They see it as an investment...the comany your looking at see's you as a risk...so they better get their money up front from you. These companys make all thier money off of taking on suckers that will pay to get in. Thats not how the business of modeling is done. If someone thinks you got what it takes and you are going to make them money....you will never pull your wallet out. They have their own photographers and everything. Dont waste you time and money. If you want to know if you have what it takes, sent a face shot and a body shot to a couple of the "real" modeling agencies and see what they say. All the others are fly by night kinda buisness's that pray on suckers that think they are getting something special.
