I sww it a mile away when he was looking to hire an old employee back and when he gave me the first warning. I'm a little confused, because by virtue of it being a first warning, there should be a second and a third, no?

He casually said: ''we have decided to let you go..."

I saw it coming, and I kinda hoped it would come because I was getting tired of my monotonous job, yet I still feel kinda disappointed and frustrated.

Anyways, back to looking for a job now. meh.
Sorry to hear it.
I hope you find the job you like real soon.
I don't know about your circumstances, but in general, from an employer's point of view, he/she may consider one warning to be sufficient.
He/she may think: 'I gave him a chance to improve, but he didn't. Case closed.'

That is probably close to what he had in mind had I argued.

Thank you for the kind words bro.

I'm not up to speed with Canadian employment laws, though if you've been with the company for at least a year I would have thought it would be very hard to "fire" you if it's anything like Britain where managers have to dot every i and cross every t when it comes to letting someone go (every fucker's part of a union and knows their employment rights).

If he's removing you on grounds of performance surely he's cataloged it all?

Hey when one door closes another opens. You might be more happy at the next. Everything happens for a reason. :)

So they finally caught you stealing, AAP?

Wait, who is this?

Don't know Canadien employment laws but ina "right to work" state in the US an employee can be terminated for any reason, without cause as long as the termination is not prejudicial on a legally protected status. A business that loses a big client with a 10% decrease in revenue may very well let 10% of the staff go for no fault of their own.
