And her doc gave her birth control pills, not an iud because iud's can cause heavy bleeding. what can she do for anemia? thx for all the help

I think is best she ask her Dr. We don't know how severe her anemia is to be giving suggestions. She might want to ask her Dr about B-12 shots, however.
Absolutely get a docs opinion. If her doc only remedied it with bc with no further explanation - find another doctor.
Anemia is caused by different things - lack of oxygen in organs (hypoxia) or lack of iron in the body. There are also several classes - hemorrhage (excessive blood loss), blood cell destruction, or red blood cell deficiency. More than likely, based on her doctors remedy, she probably has a very mild case. But, she should know this for sure. More sever anemia problems can lead to heart failure (due to lack of oxygen).
Knowledge is power. Get a doctor that will explain it, offer different solutions, and will allow questions.
P.S. There are IUD's like Mirena that pretty much stop menstruation. Doctors are hip on any IUD because of the risk of infections.
I wish her the best. I know from experience it can suck and at times you feel helpless -doctors can be so nonchalant about it. Anytime there is something "off" with your body it is discomforting - no matter how mild. I have learned through the years to be demanding when it comes to knowledge about my body.

I Had Anemia Twice, A Bleeding Ulcer,I almost died the 2nd time, as i only had 3 units left in my body when they found it.
My Dr Put me on an iron Regimine of 675 MG of Iron.
As Stated above ,ask your Dr. Because alot of things can cause you to become anemic!

Thanks for the replies, i guess her bloodwork came back and shes perfectly fine. now i just need to get her on some anavar and shell be perfect

Also, what her goals are..
Im probably going to have her make her own account thats a good idea. She is about 5'3" pretty short, and i dont know about her weight. 125 lbs io think. She wears a size 0 in jeans though. Ill have to ask what she eats, maybe have her write down what she eats in a day?
