For the record, I do think it's something that people need to do to feel right with themselves and that's great. But really calling him she is off. I want to be called captain because I've managed people.
I saw an article about an "amputation fetish" enabler who has helped several people find Mexican surgeons who were willing to cut off their body parts. This fellow is a child psychologist himself, and is also an amputation fetish sufferer who wishes to have his right leg removed just below the hip. He has not been successful in getting it done yet, or at least hadn't at the time of the article.
My point is that I don't see any difference between amputation fetish and transsexualism. Both seem to me to be obsessions that have been allowed to grow and fester until they take over the person and they can't be happy with themselves without surgical intervention.
