Feelings and emotions are reality. Right.

So using that logic, all of the crazy homeless people out there that think they're Napoleon or some shit are actually right because that's their reality.

I learned a lot today.

Our reality IS what we perceive it to be. That is both a scientific fact and a spiritual truth.

The reason those people ARE crazy is because, in THEIR mind, they ARE Napoleon. Schizophrenics hear voices and have hallucinations and those voices and images are every bit as real to them as your backyard is to you.

What is reality? Do you remember Morpheus asking Neo "Do you think that's air you're breathing?"

What's going on when you're dreaming, or better yet, having a nightmare? That's YOUR reality. How would you know if the dream never stopped, if you never woke up? How would you know the difference? What is reality?

Reality is NOT what your eyes are seeing, reality is what your BRAIN interprets it is seeing. There are types of brain damage that will leave you completely blind yet you will still have fully functioning eyes.

Feelings and emotions are the reality of the person experiencing them. When their world isn't in step with what the rest of us agree is the real world, that's what makes them "crazy." If they could just shake their heads, go "Ah, jeez, I was being silly" and stop thinking they're Napeoleon (or hearing voices, or seeing bugs crawling over the walls, etc.) then they wouldn't have mental problems.

It just happens that trangendered people have a problem that can be treated with a physical treatment, a surgery.

Something else that is not sane is expecting people to just blindly accept a post-op m-->f transexual fully as a woman. If she was expecting to "pass" for female in the mate-selection process, then she was suffering from a delusion.

I'm not saying that she is a bad person, or that she is crazy in any other way. But it is expecting a lot for a heterosexual male to accept another male as a mate. Your friend deserves a mate if she wants one, but she is going to have to accept the idea that her ideal mate will not be a "typical" heterosexual male, but someone more open to nontraditional sexual roles.

Was she sexually active before surgery, and if so, in what role?
