Something else that is not sane is expecting people to just blindly accept a post-op m-->f transexual fully as a woman. If she was expecting to "pass" for female in the mate-selection process, then she was suffering from a delusion.

I'm not saying that she is a bad person, or that she is crazy in any other way. But it is expecting a lot for a heterosexual male to accept another male as a mate. Your friend deserves a mate if she wants one, but she is going to have to accept the idea that her ideal mate will not be a "typical" heterosexual male, but someone more open to nontraditional sexual roles.

Was she sexually active before surgery, and if so, in what role?

she knows the score about meeting men. She has no expectations.
And yes she can find a typical hetero male. I know others who have been with transgenders that are typical males.
It's all in the perception.

I've only known her casually for 8 yrs and we recently got close this past year so I never asked about her sex life before the surgery.

For the record, I do think it's something that people need to do to feel right with themselves and that's great. But really calling him she is off. I want to be called captain because I've managed people.
