not at all...that's not how i see him. i try not to get caught up in hype and i just listen to the music. em is tight with rthymes, though some of his shit really sucks. do you like rap at all? if the answer is no, then we can discount your opinion on the em matter

Eminem grew up in a black neighborhood, so naturally he was influenced by the hip hop culture. Who cares if it's "black" (most good music today was originally "black"-influenced anyways); he had enough skill to impress many of his peers, and he was also good enough to get Dr. Dre's attention.
I remember Dre saying something along the lines of "I don't care if you're purple; if you can kick it, I'm workin with you."

I have to admit though I hated Eminem when he first came out. I thought pretty much the same thing as biteme does.

But then I actually listened to his music and learned about his background.... I realize more and more as I get older that the world would be a better place if more people opened their minds before their mouths.

I kinda like M'n'M, just because he's an anomaly.
I can't say I like any particular rap singer/artist/whatever. but I like some of their stuff.
What I don't like is when they play it at the gym & that base line intrudes over my MP3, & I gotta turn it up to hear, then I go deaf from my earphone's being too loud.
