IT has completely slowed my pc down ......im getting pop ups and wont allow me to open links or to use my right click on my mouse.

Ad-aware SE personal as well if it's alot of malware / pop-ups.

however sometimes with the virus disabling the host like it is doing you, it won't allow you to download and run antivirus or spyware removal programs.

back up all your work to an offsite location (disk, HD, etc..) just in case you have to reformat and reinstall the OP.

yes! these 2 programs have kept my 'puters running smoothly and quickly for several years.

 

[Razorguns]

1) spybot

2) regedit see what's in "run"

3) add/remove programs. remove stuff you don't recognize.

4) backup your important information (you should always be doing this!)

5) run spybot again. also run ad-aware.

Boot safe mode with networking and see if you can use an online virus scan program.

I'd recommend running all three Spybot, AVG, and Ad-Aware. One of the employees fucked one of the computers up at work and I ran those three and it fixed everything.
