My cat was chasing a mouse - Pics

I'm in the basement and I see that kitty is trotting along with a mouse.

She poses for a picture.

Then, she puts it down :dunno:

But only so she could chase it around some more.

She caught it again and was showing off.

Then she puts it down again.

And the mouse is trembling in fear.

Then the other cat decides he wants in on the action.

And they let the mouse run off so they can chase it down again.

I guess kitty didn't want to kill the mouse, she just wanted to play.

i think its time to clean ure house if u have mice :worried:

Rodents go after warm places and places with food. There's no food for them to get into down here except the cat food, and since the cats like to rip at the bag so they can eat down here, it's time for me to get a large container to store their food in. The only other food down here is stuff that's in cans, jars, and boxes, but all of that is on shelves at the top of the stairs and no rodents have tried to chew through the boxes in the 8 months we've been here. The landlord is supposed to tear down the porch and rebuild it this summer as well as redo the siding on the front of the house. There's holes and gaps in the porch, so that's how the rodents get in. Nothing I can do about that. This is 2nd mouse we've seen down here, and the other time we saw one the cat was trotting around with it, then disappeared for a few hours. When she came out, she was cleaning off her paws and face and purring like a caddilac.

Strangebrew - yes, that's the book for that game. I sucked at it too, no clue why I bought it. I suck at most games.

I've seen a similar practice or rather more like a cold-blooded fun game to the predator b/w a killer whale and a seal. It got real brutal. In the end the seal was ripped into pieces, blood everywhere.

This particular cat of yours doesn't seemed to have that pet quality that one would let it snuggle on a sofa though.

Ha!! Great pics crak!!

God I hate mice!! :redhot:
i had mice once.....used to use those little sticky traps to get them....and when i got them.....i owuld just set them outside......then i got really mad cuz they kept coming
So when i caught a mouse, I would put it in a plastic bag.....and tie the bag all neat and stuff.......take it outside......and hit the bag against the side of the house(which is brick)
some say im sadistic but i just hated those danged mice

Not entirely true. Almost every night that cat sleeps on my gf's daughter's bed, pretty close to her too. She doesn't care for being picked up or carried around the house, but she will hop up on my lap when I'm at the computer so I can pet her. On days that I've tried to lay down on the couch and take a nap, she hops up on the couch with me and lays right on my chest.

She is extremely gentle with the kids, even when our son picks her up and is bear hugging her walking around the house. He was a year and a half old when we got her, he's 4 now, so the cat has seen a lot of "kid abuse" and is extremely tolerant of it. Same with the orange one, he's a big sissy, but he plays very rough if you get him going.

All 3 cats act like dogs when people come over - they will come down to the living room and will hop up in the window or stand near the door to see who's there, and they won't run off when someone new comes in, they hang around and observe and will let most people pet them.

Your lucky snakes don't get in through the holes!

I have no clue what my cats would do with a snake. I'm sure they'd have fun though considering they go apeshit when my son drags a rope around the house. You can see at least 2 cats following him at all times when he does that :laugh2:

The cats can get up under the porch. There's a split between 2 pieces, big enough that they can stick a paw out. We were out on the porch the other day and the one was up under there watching us. I can't wait until the porch gets replaced, but I'm going to have to block off their access to getting underneath of it when he goes to tear it down or else all 3 will escape.

When I was a kid we were living in a house with a huge garden... my brothers and me would just sit with air-rifles and shoot the shit at anything that moved: mice, neighbours cats, birds, etc...

boy did we get in bad shit with the neighbours, our parents, etc. One day the police came and took all 3 air-rifles... my dad had to go and pick them up later, with a fine... no worth mentioning what came later was not funny at all
