What kind of food do you give the cat? Grocery store food = stinky cat shit. Get a premium brand from the pet store. I've had good luck with Science Diet.

Canned cat food makes for stinky shit too, try to keep the cat on dry food most of the time, and save the canned for a treat.

I also suggest you keep it on dry food constantly. And I think you should invest in a covered litter box as well. We have three cats using one box and we bought one of those covered ones that looks like an igloo. It has a vent on the top where you can put a filter for odor control. It was only about $20 in PetSmart and it works absolute wonders! Good Luck!

Dry food constantly? Really? I know my parents used to give their cats wet food every day. My gf gives her cats wet food every day (fancy feast). Ok, I'll try it.

NO! Don't give it milk at all it'll mess up it's digestive tract and make even more problems for you! Some cats do ok with just a bit as a treat, but I wouldn't. When one of our cats gets in a cereal bowl and takes a few laps of it, it will throw it back up or get the runs.
