Hello again everyone from Key West Florida. Since I am passing a milestone here today, as well as having improved my health recently, I wanted to let you know of what is coming up here.
I am finishing up my thread on "The War" and starting a part 2 from the time I moved to Key West at the start of the year. I'm back in the gym and with new meds and a new work out plan that you may already know. We are always looking for more people to look at the HIV & AS thread for learning about how to handle these issues too.
The major reason that I am posting today is to kick off Project Wikipedia for an honest and accurate descriptions of AS, Test, HgH and other meds. For example, the AS Oxandrin (Oxandrolone) has the following as part of it's page:
"The drug was prescribed for a number of medical disorders causing involuntary weight loss, in order to promote muscle regrowth. It had also been shown to be partially successful in treating cases of osteoporosis. However, in part due to bad publicity from its abuses by bodybuilders, Oxandrolone was discontinued by Searle Laboratories in 1989."
Nice, isn't it?? And how about this:
"Besides the obvious health risks (liver and coronary), the biggest problem with Oxandrolone (and with any anabolic steroid) is of course abuse and addiction without the supervision of a physician. Addiction rate for steroids is so high that the U.S. Controlled Substances Act considers anabolic steroids a Schedule III drug therefore even possession is a felony. Abuse being one major problem most bodybuilders consider a normal dose for a novice being 20-30mg's per day when in fact 10 mg is more then enough for someone who never had used."
Other AS have similar descriptions. I would like to try to fight this. Is there anyone on this site that knows the way that Wikipedia is put together and how can we have things changed in it. This is just like the fight to have homosexuality removed from the DSM in 1973. If you like to be called an addict, then that's fine. I DONT! I DO NOT GET HIGH on AS. I don't even like the description of addiction in Wikipedia. Please check out the HIV board sometime soon and think about this.
Good health to all!
