Cool thread, i love rock/metal!
My fav bands are g n r, megadeth and metallica.

Without being one sided to my prefered band, i have to agree that metallica are far superiour to slipknot talent-wise.
That is not to say slipknot are untalented, but they can't be compared to one of the best bands of all time in metallica.
I do not dislike slipknot, i like a few tracks but have to say that three of their line up were auditioned and the audition was not done by a member of the band, but i dont want to argue about that, like you guys have done for 3 or 4 pages!!!!!

I dont think jitsuka can justify the comment about what he and his friend did/said, there is nothing funny about that, just very imature and shows that you can't say who is or is not a real goth, it is not for you, welsh power house or 6(sic)6 to say, none of you have that right!

jitsuka, I think alcunt(nice name! haha) is trying to say with that comment that he is not blaming the 'trendy rockers' or what ever you call them(the little kids you seem to hate).
He is in other words saying, we were all kids once so grow up!
Those kids you did that to are the you and your friend of tomorrow so do not think you are better than them because you think you know more about the music they and you enjoy.
Karma my friend, what goes around comes around(cool to see something like that on here!)

Firstly, to WPH and Kracker, if you thought i was referring to Wales, i appologise. I was referring to which ever over town WPH lives in.

Second, your points are more valid? My arse they are. Out of the many MANY points youve argued for how many have you actually maintained? Yes you argued that Slipknot are more talented than Slipknot. And i agree in a sense. if you compare music styles i think Metallica are more talented at what they do, Slipknot more talented at what Slipknot do. Overall i will agree that Metallica are more talented, but that doesnt mean that Slipknot are without talent.

The first comment is a contradiction in itself and maybe you should check your geograohy, they both live in west wales.

You can't say his points are not valid. After reading every post on this thread(what an awesome thread, has to be the most popular i have seen!) in my opinion he has made more sense than you have with regards to the slipknot metallica debate(i dont wanna argue about that, i have but my point across, wont say much more on that) and i cant understand your logic when it comes to the gothic stuff, you are talking balls.

I dont want to argue with you, but i had to say that, sorry if it seems that i have singled you out.

I never drank pigs blood though, i'm not a big fan of pigs...I have, however, drank some human blood. As you can tell by my username, i also like Lucifer. Anyway, i agree with alot of what you people said, rockers are fucking cool, and i loathe trendy motherfuckers.

I would just like to say that i am not gothic in any way, i actually hate goths, no offense to anyone on here. Call me judgemental, but i wont even try and get to know the person if they say they are into blood, death and vampires. To me that is too far, that is sadistic.

The first comment was aimed at the town WPH comes from, not Wales itself.

At no point did i say his points were not valid, i said they were not more valid than mine, given the mayority of points hes argued hes given up on.

The Slipknot/Metallica debate, i have agreed to a degree with WPH. Metallica do have more talent overall, but as i said, if either band was to do what the other does, theyd both suck.

How do you mean you cant understand my point oin the gothic stuff? Im just trying to get people to understand that what WPH is saying becasue of a few "Goths" by him, does not make him right. In fact it makes him wrong.
Im not saying Goths cant like Slipknot, im saying that goths who say Slipknot is gothic music are talking outta their arses adn arent goths.

Ok maybe none of us on these boards can say for deffinate what a goth is, but some of us can say for certain what a goth isnt.

Thats the point, its not the music they enjoy. At home i know an 13 year old who listens to Pantera/Slayer/Metallica/'Knot adn a whole lot of other stuff. I dont have a problem with him, beacuse its what he likes. However the area i live in currently is inundated with kids who are doing the "rocker" thing because its the in thing right now. As ive said, you speak to kids wearing the Metallica tops which is their favorite album, they will either reply "Dunno." or "Master Of Puppets". They only reply MOP becasue iots the only black, Metallica Albumed Jumper they cvan buy round here. Theey have never listened to Metallica, and cant name anythihg by them.

That is what i have a problem with.
