muscles building up a tolerance??

I heard that muscles build up a tolerance.. True ?? Myth?? It hink it was something that arnold said i don't remember. It makes sense therefore if this is tru can somone give me more tricep workouts ?? and if this is true than we should all switch it up every month or two ??

Red Dragon speaks truth... muscles adapt to load so that the load ceases to cause growth after a few sessions, this is called the Repeated Bout Effect.

The body also adapts to workload, so that after doing high volume for a time it becomes easier.
