Assuming there's no tear in the tendon (in which case you may need surgery, I'm sure your docter let you know) then ice and massage are the best things for it. Rest, eating healthy, and no tobacco/drinking are also high on the list. When you feel you can put some pressure on it, usually about 3-4 weeks, then begin to try to get a full range of motion back as soon as possible. Use whatever exercises you feel works the muscle best. You can train this way up to 5-6 times a day. Start with a broomstick, 5lb. dumbell, whatever,if you have to, and gradually work the weight up. The main thing is not to exceed your comfort zone. Just be patient, I realize these things can seem like they take forever, but realistically you can get yourself back into the picture in about 5-6 weeks if you don't mess yourself up by doing too much too soon. Best of luck, bro.
By the way, I'm not the expert, but I was under the impression aflutop is primarily used for joint pain.
