I have discovered for myself if i do 5x5 for flat bench and i work up to a 5rm, i need a full week to recovery my central nervous system. but if i keep under 80% 1rm for 4x6 i can work the muscle every 2 days as long as my protein is 300grams a day.

Sounds good. For one not interested in a 6pack......you'd be surprised how strong lots of food--including Mcdonalds--will keep you.
