Muscle Group Training Frequency (when 'on')

What are your thoughts on the frequency one can train a muscle group (per week) when *on a cycle*. I've heard from many people who train each muscle group twice per week, while others train every second day - effectively training each muscle group only once per week regardless of if they are on a cycle or not. Is it true that when you're "on", your recovery time is much faster and you can afford to give your muscle group only 3 or 4 days rest? ...or would that be counter productive? Just curious to hear what people think. Cheers.
 
ive always done a big muscle group and a small muscle group... like chest and bis or back and tris... its always worked for me...
 
I do the same (back & biceps one day, chest & triceps another day). But my question is how often could you train, say your back & biceps, per week. I have friends who train their back/triceps twice per week, and others who train their back/triceps once per week. Those who train it twice as often cite the fact that they recover faster because their on their gear, but I question whether steroids actually speed recovery time or not.

So, does gear make you recover quicker to the point you can train more often?
 
well i go monday to friday and i always alternate...

mon- back and bis
tues- chest and tris
weds-shoulder/traps
thursday-legs
friday- alternate day.

so ill hit one of them at least twice a week.
 
i think it realy depends on whatever works for you. i train everything twice a wk.
mon-chest,bi's,tri's
tue-back,shoulders
wed-legs
thur-chest, bi's, tri's
fri-back, shoulders
sat-various, but kinda light day
sun-off day
and have for several yrs w/ great results. others tend to disagree.but i know it works for me. and only you will know what works best for your body through trial and error. my buddy trains like once a wk (each mus group) and it wrks great for him. he claims that if he trains each group twice he's overtraining. where if i dont train twice a wk i feel undertrained. so thats something nobody can answer but you.good luck
 
So does being pumped up on a cocktail of steroids speed the body's ability to recover?

yes, but you dont realy focus alot on that idea. you realy want to focus on training regimen that will work to keep your body responsive on or off. and just remember that your muscle needs atleast 24hrs give or take, to rest and recover.
 
on or off if that body part is done right with good form and concitration you are going to feel it for the next three days. you have to listen to your body.
 
to me i can overtrain my muscle and not even know it..so i dont try going twice a week with eeach and every muscle...
