Can we use g-bombs or not....every time I g-bomb someone A mod threatens me. It is really getting old...wtf.

this is a very good question.


George, we'd like more clear guidance on the bombs. Certain mods really get pissed at them, others don't and join in on the fun. Some members get pissed too, ironically its usually non plat members and it is just a couple of them. Most see it was fun and games, which it is.

Also people like to claim that bombs have "driven good members away" I have asked people to show proof of this, because I have offered to sponsor people for plat memebrships in the past if this was indeed true.

I think that the bombs have actually brought MORE good bros to the site, we see more site involvement, more posting, more platinum memberships, and people even buying karma. So it seems like a win win all around. Yet we still have a small minority that bitches and moans anytime a bomb is dropped.

Ironically though one member, jroxxxx bombed a platinum member 5-6 times and no one seemed to care. weird.

I think the obvious solution here is simple, if bombs are problem, then just get rid of them!

I personally think that is a stupid idea and George Spellwin would never do it beause he would lose revenue. Bombs drive business, I know it sounds stupid, because they really are so insignificant, but its true. Guess what, Karma does too, which is why even though the karma system has been completely RAPED, it will never go away. You can BUY karma now! Think about how backwards that is compared to how it was originally intended! It was supposed to make people post more MEANINFUL threads because people will reward them with karma, positive reinfocement. Instead karma has lead to people posting more useless karma whore threads.

But guess what, people also BUY karma. Cha-CHING for george. And guess what, all the karma whoring fuels more traffic, gets more members involved, etc.

The more he can keep members on the board and involved, the more likely they are to go plat, and even better the more likely they are to BUY SHIT FROM THE SPONSORS!! Oh NELLY!!! I can see his pockets getting fatter already.

Its really not that hard to understand. I don't see why there is such a big hoopla made over it. I mean, we have people like spongebob and myself, and basically the entire self proclaimed bomb squad (and Associates, and resistance) that all take this with one HUGE grain of salt. We just have fun with it, fuck around, whatever. But we've got a small handful of people who just don't seem to get it!!! How many more times does it need to be explained.

It is a delicate balance isn't it? Some are good but there can be too much of a good thing. Remember, Mods cannot ban Plats. When you think something is out of line, use the support link and email me the URL and I can take a look - mention your username too. And thank you for supporting the site.

I wasn't aware that plats were non bannable. I had heard rumors.

Only Admins, but we do listen to what our Mods recommend and almost always do what they say. The thing is, I do not think a mod ever recommended banning a Plat.

me too, i went lifetime, Big Rick Rock handled it all.. and I never got the 20,000K.. I don't know if that was part of the deal at the time or not.. I purchased 100,000K hits which made up the bulk of mine until recently when members started approving of my posts on a near daily basis.

This is fun, but to be fair, I'll tell you, I'm not looking to spend a ton more on karma. I spent $40 before for 100,000K and don't plan on spending more then that. I do enjoy the site and try to support it whenever possible though, so I'm more then willing to wheel and deal here and there.

Out of curiosity, where do you come up with these numbers like 59.38 and 39.97, is there a logical reason for that?
